Bond's to Belmont Belter
We are looking for expressions of interest from those that would like to participate in a paddle/row event down the neck of the Swan.
The Northam's Avon Descent event dose not cater for all those that love the idea of getting on the water and going for a paddle with that modest challenge attached. The skill level of the paddler maybe off or the type of craft may not be suitable or the thought of navigating 124kl of river is not appealing, then this proposed event is for you.
If you have a paddle or rowing craft that floats and not suitable for the treacherous Avon Descent then this event will be to your liking. This event could be the aspiration needed to get you into the next Avon Descent or it could also be the event that appeals to the retiring Avon Descent competitor who is still enjoying an active lifestyle. It is proposed to run this 13kl paddle event in conjunction with the Avon Descent on the Sunday morning of the 14th of August, 2022.
The Avon Descent organisers are looking to provide this event so that all recreational paddlers or rowers can also enjoy the hype of the Avon Festival on a reduced scale.
