You’re Lifesaving Journey Starts Now!!!

Becoming a Surf Lifesaver is simple! Where you start your journey really just depends on your age!

Under 13? You’ll be starting off in the famous ‘Woodside Nippers’ program run for children from 5 to 12 years of age.

If you are over 13 to 15 years old your journey starts as a ‘Cadet’ where you’ll be part of our ‘Cottesloe Titans’ getting your first qualification (your SRC) as well as being introduced to supervised weekend patrols and Sunday beach activities. Click on the Titans link to discover how you can join in the fun!

15 to 18 year old members also form part of our ‘Cottesloe Titans’ but are eligible to obtain their Bronze Medallion as well as a host of other Life Saving awards. Active 15-18yo members are also allocated to a weekend patrol group as well as being eligible to take part in Sunday beach activities. As a ‘Titan’ you will also have access to a range of training programs run by our different coaches, including board and ski, swimming and beach running.

Both Cadet and Active 15-18yo members have a dedicated Youth Development Officer that will help guide you through all the different pathways and development programs both here at the Club and in the Surf Life Saving industry.

Over 18 years of age? Don’t worry it’s never too late to become a qualified lifesaver! All you need is a little education and training and you will be in the red and yellow in no time! Head over to the Active Members page for full details!
