IRB State Champs:
Awesome work by the 3 Cott SLSC members (Dom Lawrence, Ethan Lewins and Bree Jenkin) who raced at the recent IRB champs in partnership with Sorrento SLSC.
Our guys ended up finishing 4th in both male and female single rescue finals which is an outstanding result!
Contact Dom if you are interested in racing next season so we can go back to racing in the black and yellow with a full COTT team!
Thanks also to the Cott members who came down and supported the guys on the day!
Albany Race Meet:
Over the June long weekend Cottesloe SLSC competed in the 13km Albany Surf Craft Challenge, the morning race start was frostie but by the end of it we were HOT, HOT, HOT!!
The Muppets took out 1st place in the 160+ Male Surf Boats!
The Cheeky Chicks came from the back of the pack and overtook three crews, finishing a strong 6th their first race.
An awesome presence from CSLSC in the surf ski component of the surf craft challenge. Will Evertt, Marcel Baird and Peter Ferguson toughed it out on the ocean ski's to make it through the unsavoury conditions to finish valiantly.
In the 2km run post ski/surf boat race, a guest appearance from the talented Nick Ferguson who took line honours; with a young Will Everett nipping at his heels and the running vets in Myles Kennington and Marcel rounding out the top 5.
Congrats to all who competed, we did good!!
